This week Campaign Collective has welcomed two new trainees through the government’s Kickstarter scheme, to help them flourish as a social enterprise.

The Kickstart government initiative, intended for young people receiving Universal Credit, allows them to get a foot in the door in a field they’re passionate about, without going down the conventional root.

Freya Preedy, who joins as a Campaigns Trainee, said:

“I am so excited to learn about the campaigning and communications field as a whole, picking up tricks of the trade as I go.  I am pleased to be offered a role with an organisation whose ethos fits so in line with my personal beliefs.”

Lizzie Lewis, Content Trainee, who will be working for the positive news outlet, The Rooftop, said:

“I’m thrilled and proud to be one of Campaign Collective’s first Kickstarters! It’s going to be a fantastic learning experience and a real boost for the start of my career in communications.”

Freya and Lizzie will be developing their skills in communications, working with clients and PR, whilst providing their insight to current running campaigns. Learning from a social enterprise itself, both Kickstarters will be mentored by the Collective’s experienced members, opening many doors for them both for future career aspirations.

Campaign Collective was also supported by the Public Relations and Communications Association in the hiring of Kickstart employees.
