Masters degree apprenticeship under development

A consultation designed to develop a new masters-degree level communications apprenticeship closes soon.

The new apprenticeship standard will sit alongside the already approved “level 4” apprenticeship in public relations and communications, approved by the Department for Education earlier in the year.

With the Apprenticeship Levy now in force for larger employers, the new apprenticeship is responding to the demand from organisations not currently employing PR apprentices to develop the highest level apprenticeship possible – and one which (potentially) university leavers and adult career changers could also benefit from.

As part of the Campaign Collective’s social purpose to help develop the next generation of communications talent, Founder Member Simon Francis chairs the employers’ group that develops the PR & Communications apprenticeship standards.

Any employers, training providers or universities who want to comment on the new apprenticeship can contact Simon to get involved.
