Campaign Collective has been shortlisted for Communications Agency of the Year in the Third Sector Awards.
The Third Sector Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding efforts within the voluntary sector and celebrate work that makes a difference to society.
Consultancies were judged on their work for one charity campaign.
Campaign Collective has been shortlisted for its work with EngineeringUK on the annual Tomorrow’s Engineers Week, a campaign to change perceptions of engineering among young people, their parents and teachers and to inspire future engineers.
Sarah Colombini, Founder Member of Campaign Collective, commented:
We are delighted to have been shortlisted by the judges for our social impact-led approach to inspiring the next generation of engineers.
STEM skills awareness campaigns have done a lot to raise awareness of science and engineering careers but we needed to work harder to make sure that young people could really identify with the role of engineers.
We used our social enterprise roots to grow a campaign that went deeper than the usual celebrity and pop culture.
We showcased how engineers are on a mission to make the world a better place and how they tackle the issues young people care about the most, such as saving lives, helping animals and tackling plastic in the sea.
We took these engineers directly into schools through a simultaneous Big Assembly, inspiring 50,000 young people to consider an engineering career.
The winners of the Third Sector Awards Ceremony will be announced on 19 September 2019.
