Collective annual summary released

Campaign Collective’s 2017-18 Annual Summary has revealed another year of growth for the social enterprise.

In addition to posting an 81% increase in turnover (up from £198k to £360k), the report lists the 34 campaigns which Campaign Collective Members delivered in the 12 months to 31 July 2018.

As well as improving numbers, the period also saw the Collective win the coveted Better Society Consultancy of the Year award.

From the profits made in 2017/18, £17,000 will be transferred to the Collective’s social purpose fund for investment. This has already enabled the launch of The Rooftop – a daily dose of positive news on issues worth shouting about.

In its first seven weeks, The Rooftop has seen more than 800,000 content views of stories about the positive impact of social enterprises, great charity campaigns, exciting developments from local governmenttrade union victories in the workplace and ground-breaking research by universities.

Other activities that support the Collective’s social purpose in 2017/18 included the creation of PR & Communications apprenticeships and the launch of a Freedom To Campaign Guide to the Lobbying Act. The Guide has been read more than 2,000 times by campaigners desperate to understand the complex legislation.

Simon Francis, Founder Member of Campaign Collective, commented:

Our continued success is only possible with the support of our clients and Members.

It’s amazing to see how our social enterprise way of working is paying off, not just in the great campaigns we are delivering, but in the impact our social purpose fund is now having.
