Campaign Collective joins PRCA and SEUK

Campaign Collective, the new communications social enterprise, has signed up with two leading industry bodies.

The Collective, which helps charities and campaigners benefit from affordable professional communications advice and support, has joined both Social Enterprise UK (SEUK) – the national trade body for social enterprises – and the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA).

The UK is home to 70,000 social enterprises. These organisations, which have a clear social mission, ensure the majority of their profits are reinvested into a social purpose, and are absolutely accountable and transparent.

Profits from Campaign Collective will be used to subsidise support for micro charities and community organisations as well as help develop the next generation of communications professionals.

Membership of the PRCA brings similar accountability, abiding by a code of conduct, which includes refusing to report on AVEs as an evaluation metric and reporting all public affairs activity via the PRCA’s register.

Campaign Collective members have been involved with the PRCA for many years. Founder Member Simon Francis is Joint Chair of the PRCA’s Charity and Not-For-Profit Group, sits on the organisation’s governing PR Council and has played a lead role in the PRCA’s Apprenticeship Trailblazers activity.

Simon Francis commented: “We are passionate about our work as campaigners and dedicated to going about things properly, so it is vital that we affiliate with the leading industry bodies that govern our sector and abide by their codes of conduct.

“We want our clients to be confident that we as an organisation are committed to providing a public benefit alongside delivering outstanding campaigns and membership of SEUK and PRCA re-enforce our commitment to do just that.”

Peter Holbrook, Chief Executive of Social Enterprise UK, said: “Helping social enterprises, charities, public sector organisations and other campaigners benefit from affordable professional communications advice and support is an innovative concept and we are so pleased to welcome Campaign Collective to Social Enterprise UK,

“We support our members by providing business advice, connecting them with buyers, and helping them to influence and raise awareness of what they do at a local and national level.”

Francis Ingham, Director General of the PRCA, said: “Campaign Collective has a unique offering – a social enterprise with a commitment to using experienced staff to create, build and deliver effective marketing campaigns in the not-for-profit sector,

“We’re delighted that the Campaign Collective is joining the PRCA and shows the wide range of skills the modern PR industry possesses.”

The PRCA represents in excess of 20,000 people across the whole range of the PR industry and promotes all aspects of public relations and internal communications work, helping teams and individuals to maximise the value they deliver to clients and organisations.
